Last Christmas, Allie had to endure her parents by herself so she was particularly overjoyed to have Jennifer home just in time. As you can see, Allie can be the life of the party. . . the look on her face tells all!
But once she found out that Santa had really come, she perked up:
Jennifer gave us each something told us was illegal to have in the US, but readily available in Canada. . . .kinder eggs which are described on the internet this way: "Kinder Eggs are sold all over the world excluding the United States, where the 1938 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act prohibits" (so don't tell, eh?)
First you unwrap the egg to find a chocolate treat. But notice that sliver of yellow. . . that is what makes it illegal in the US. . . it is a plastic egg.
But enough about the plastic. . . there is chocolate to be eaten, before someone decides they must have it.
Oh yeah, there is a TOY inside that egg. It is nothing all that exciting, but perhaps it all tastes better because there is a toy inside? (In my opinion, it would have been best if it were filled with MORE chocolate!)
But the best part of Christmas was having Jennifer home :)
