Christmas Eve

One of our very favorite Christmas Eve activities is to play broomball (with other demented folks like us.)

This year we were determined to prepare better so we bought decent brooms. What constitutes a decent broom? A wood handle makes all the difference. The past several years, we have tried grocery store brooms which have metal handles (which bend and/or snap without too much effort.) So we headed to the hardware store to buy these beauties:

Before we played, some people needed to tape up. (It stinks getting older sometimes.)

Allie, being the youngest needed nothing like that. She was feeling pretty confident.

We decided to divide up the teams with the old folks taking on the younger.

We all had a GREAT time and can't wait for the next game. (Of course with as quick as I am blogging, it's only 3 1/2 months away!)
