Holiday Music

December brings a lot of things our way. It gets so busy.

But this year, it also brings some "lasts".

We went to our last high school Holiday Concert. There was a scheduling conflict so the concert had to be moved to a farther-away-from-us middle school. It was good of the music director to take the high road and be willing to adapt to the circumstances. However, it was much harder to see because the band was below instead of at eye level.
Here is the concert band. Can you find Allie? (We had a hard time too and we know what she looks like!)

Using my mad photography skills, I was able to snap this beaut of a shot just as she was rubbing her nose! (Hint . . .look near the big white bass drum . . . in front of it and to the left.)

Allie taught herself the baritone which is what she plays during concert season. However, once she lifted it, we could not longer see her. So this is the best I've got.

Next the concert choir sang. Can you find Allie in there?

Because the concert was moved from the high school, we had farther to travel and got there later than usual. So our seats were not very good. I have to scramble to be able to take any photos good enough to see Allie. Obviously I haven't figured out how to do that very well YET!

She is in the center of this pic, but it's hard to see her.

The kids did a good job. The music was festive and easy on the ears. . . and we don't HAVE to go to another one.
