The morning was spent at training. . . training to become a CASA (court appointed special advocate) worker. Scary, but rewarding stuff!
Later in the day I went to help out at a safe Halloween event. Austin’s House is a local emergency shelter for kids that was started by some CASA workers. I volunteered to take a shift to pass out candy. When I got there, our spot was all decked out.
It did not occur to me to dress up like they did in the neighboring booth. So cute!
Then I went home and passed out candy at our own home. We didn’t mind having leftovers!
