Every summer there are thunderstorms. My personal journey with thunderstorms has changed drastically over the years.
When I was a kid, I was terrified of the thunder and lightning. When we lived in Kansas, I gained a great appreciation of the majesty and power in the storms. When the entire sky lights up, it is truly something to behold.
But here it’s different. I don’t necessarily mind the storm in itself, but there is always the concern that a fire will start. And that is NOT good news.
Some years, there are no fires nearby and that brings peace. But this year that was not the case. . . .
Hello Bison fire:
We decided to have an adventure and get closer to the fire to check it out . . . we knew the wind was not blowing our way.
It turned out to be a really big fire that covered a lot of area. We were lucky in that most of the area consumed was not populated and we have really awesome firefighters. And the smoke was not blowing our direction.
