Candy Dance

When we moved here years ago, I kept hearing about “Candy Dance”  Having no idea what it was, I went on my own to check it out.  If you want to get the general idea, click here. (hint . . think craft show)
I went a bunch of years, usually by myself.  And then I had conflicts (high school soccer) so I didn’t go for a bunch of years.  I got in the habit of not going after that, mostly because I didn’t want to go alone. . . but I had no one to go with.
I guess Paul got tired of me moaning about my lack of social skills because he said YES when I asked if he would go with me.  This is the man that HATES shopping of any kind.
We headed out early and parked in a huge grass field along with everyone else.  There is no parking in town. . .

There were a lot of booths similar to this one. . .

Paul noticed this one. . . (we know someone named Harley so it was extra cute)

I’ve never noticed this before. . . I wonder if it was for proselyting?  I don’t think there were too many politicians around but if there were it may have been a way to keep them contained?

It’s been a while since I actually bought a craft item, but food. . . that is a different story!  And we are not alone in this endeavor!

If you come early, you can leave early too.  It’s nice to be able to move around before the BIG crowds come.

What a great guy I married.  He humored me and hung out at Candy Dance instead of doing the things he would rather be doing.  Maybe next year, I’ll find someone to go with and let him off the hook Smile
