Cough, cough, cough

I thought the fire a few months back was bad and it was, but we didn’t have to deal with the smoke which was good.

It seems that every year, there is some sort of fire in Cali and we get to “enjoy” the smoke but it’s doable.

This year was different . .

Our beautiful BLUE sky was nowhere to be found . .

The fire was burning in Yosemite and was called the Rim Fire.

I felt bad for anyone who had to work outside in the horrible smoke.

You couldn’t go outside without your eyes burning and feeling it in your chest.

Every outdoor activity was canceled.  It was hard to find relief.

We changed our air filter which was ridiculously dirty due to all the ash.

I doubt the guy that set the fire had any idea of how many people’s lives he affected . . . it was horrible for the fire fighters and the people who lived in the path.  It affected people’s vacations that had planned on going to Yosemite.  But it also had an impact much farther away then he could ever imagine.  I only know about around here and only the things that are part of my life.

It is an example of how something can have far-reaching influence and we should all be mindful of that.
