So off I went to Utah on February 8th and showed up at the hospital early in the morning.
It is one of the most humbling, awe-inspiring experiences to watch. I spent my day with my little girl as she endured labor as someone to admire. She handled it so well even though it was so hard.
And she worked so hard for hours and hours and hours. After about SEVENTEEN hours, she was given the news that she was going to have a c-section.
Allie joined me in the wait . . .
since we could not go into the room during surgery (during which time I would have passed out!)
While the day was really long for me, it was even longer for Jennifer (and Samuel) but it was worth every minute of the wait.
I gained a deep admiration for my amazing daughter and she cemented her status as one of my heroes. Way to go Jennifer!
