Reluctantly On the Road Again

It was time to empty out the van . . .
and head across the lonely desert . .
and make the usual pit stops . . .


it goes without saying . . .

I added a new stop (because puzzles are not a bad way to spend my time when hubby’s off doing what needs to be done) . . .

and made my way here. . . .

to pick up . . .

so we could . . .

for her mission.  But then she had me drop her off here . . .

to play soccer with her friends one last time.
The next day , we went out to breakfast. . .
 
had an amazing snack/lunch . . .
and went out to dinner . . .

with some packing and loading up the van in between.
all so we could . . .
head home.

Bittersweet

The main reason we headed to Utah was to help Jennifer and Samuel with their move.  (How dare they take our grandbaby farther away from us!)

Paul, Allie and I were able to help pack boxes, carry boxes out, load the truck or watch Leah.  Samuel’s sister and friend helped out too.

Leah had no idea that her world would be changing. . .

When she got a little fussy, I tried distracting her by taking her picture . …

Paul got into the act too (truthfully we were so glad to sit down. . . moving is exhausting work.).  I think they like each other!

We know that Jennifer, Samuel and Leah are heading to where they are supposed to be.  We wish them all the best while Samuel attends school in Louisiana.  (We just wonder if Leah will end up with a southern drawl!)
